- Frequently
Asked Questions
- May we come to your nursery to collect plants? We
do not sell plants directly from our premises so there is no stock to see here. We sell through established
contracts from all over the world.
- Can we order and pay you later or pay cash on delivery?Plantsource has established trading terms with a number of our clients, however these days we do not
encourage this unless you are an already known customer to us with some existing trading history. Nothing
is dispatched from our nurseries until payment has been received and C.O.D is not possible. We
accept all other forms of payment including valid debit and credit cards and it is strictly cleared funds prior to dispatch.
- Are you open at weekends?Our hours of business are Mon-Fri 9am – 5pm.
If you need to contact us outside of these hours we will always read emails sent to sales@plantsource.co.uk.
- I would like to buy a large amount of plants and need to see what I am buying? We are able to accompany clients to our European nurseries to view stock, and make
arrangements for accommodation. Some commitment will need to be demonstrated prior to these trips and we
reserve the right to charge travelling expenses for these which are often offset against the order value at a later date or
at time of ordering.
- Do you have a catalog or can you send me photographs? We are offering many thousands of species from across the world. We are currently
working on producing a small booklet of the more popular choices, however most quotations can be backed up with a photograph
of the plant or plants you are enquiring about. We are confident at all times on what we are selling otherwise
we do not offer them.
- Do you just sell to businesses? Not necessarily.
We try to offer plants to everyone however smaller orders are not always possible because logistically
we are not able to offer wholesale prices if the order isn’t substantial. A substantial order is
determined by what we currently are handling at the time of the enquiry. For example sometimes if we are
able to tag extra plants onto an already processed order everyone benefits. So it is worth asking.
- Do
you offer planting, design and landscaping services? We
do through Spruced-Up Ltd which is a division of Plantsource. We are able to quote for any external works
or contracts from the design aspect through to completion. We are also able to tender for local authority
and large project work. Please visit www.spruced-up.co.uk to find out more.
- What happens if the plants which we buy from you die?Providing it has been planted in the correct manner and kept well watered in the first season, there
should be little chance of this happening. Very occasionally plants may die but it is unusual, there are
normally signs showing prior to this happening and if you notice that something does not look right you must notify us immediately.
We will then try and diagnose it. We do not offer an open guarantee however we do try to help wherever
possible.
